Systems Integration
Once we have completed and tested a product, it is approved by our Quality Control Manager and Project Leaders for release into a customer environment or to a community for acceptance. Customers may have an acceptance testing facility in which they place our product and validate the product against the requirements articulated in the project’s Use Cases. We help customers manage the deployment of a system into their infrastructure to minimize the impact on their user community.
V-Concepts understands that integration planning includes coordinating with a range of customer and technical advocates so that all positions are heard prior to initiating integration. Depending on scope, some systems require additional training prior to cutover to a user community and some efforts require only communication and coordination.
Integration and services cutover requires coordination across an organization. All integration efforts require risk plans and communication. Integration plans should encompass service availability metrics and service level agreements. A deployment plan includes customer priorities and solution back-out strategies, appropriate go/no-go decision points, and notification and problem escalation procedures; all of these must be reviewed and accommodated.
Our job is not complete until we shepherd a release all the way into production.
